Ferris State is a great place to start your undergrad education. The basis of the programs are good, and if you want to learn and be successful most certainly you will. It is all about what you take out of the college. There is always something happening every night. even though the men to woman ratio is not the best, having a good time is not an issue .

After realizing that i wanted pursue a career in Law Enforcement, i transferred to Ferris from Central Michigan. The strength of the criminal justice program is well known throughout law enforcement circles and has opened doors for me as i am pursuing internships and employment. It is important to realize that the strength of Ferris is in specific programs;this is not the place to get a general education. I really enjoy the social atmosphere here being a smaller school there are a lot of opportunities to make connections and people within programs often end up in tight groups. So far as things to do on the weekend there are times when you have to get creative but that's half the fun of college. I really have enjoyed my stay here and i look forward to next year and will be sad when it's time to go.

All the negative comments must be from people who were socially awkward. After reading all these comments i thought i was going to hate this place. I have met some of the coolest people i will ever meet in my life time. This place can be boring throughout the weekend and you also wont find a party every single weekend. On the other hand ive gone to some of the craziest parties here and have had a time of my life!!! I would never leave this place. The parties are perfect size, only once in awhile are they so huge you cant walk. Also once you get out of the dorms, the night life only gets better!!!!
