Most people on campus are stuck-up, closed-minded conservatives who make fun of and/or avoid anybody different or unusual. The campus looks beautiful but is way too far away from civilization (Grand Rapids doesn't really count, it's designed for rich people to spend their money). The facilities, while very modern, are way too small to serve useful for a large number of students. Campus food is unhealthy and doesn't taste good. Don't expect to succeed here if you have a disability ? while the university will tell you that you will receive aid, it's up to the individual professor to determine how to handle that, and most of them are too self-absorbed to help. Classes are boring and don't challenge students much, if at all. GVSU just wants to have great-looking statistics in order to get more money; they don't really care about your education. Sorry.

Great school for PreMed, Business, and Education. Lots of student clubs and activities. Fantastic Honors College too.

I am happy with the education received. And the coursework was interesting and, in many ways life-changing. However, I have one major complaint. As a non-traditional student, I did not feel taken care of. I transferred from a community college. The CC was much more welcoming and nurturing. As a returning adult student, the professors and the school did not seem to care much if I had other things going on like work and caring for a family. Because of not receiving much leeway from professors, it has taken me longer to graduate and my GPA has suffered (it was about a 3.4 now it's more like a 2.7).
Education Quality: A, University Resource Use: C-
