The school has been since the early 1970's less a place to educate than to indoctrinate its student population into the mindless lock step thinking of the radical right complete with a lecherous president, dubious financing, a current president paid more than many ivy league presidents (why? for what?)and useless expeditures for offices in washington DC, palatial woodland retreats and so on...the smell of tainted money pervades the campus. at one time a really fine school, with open minded professors and a campus life that said "explore, think, be free to be yourself"...now just a ghostly shell of its past with most students home schooled, questionable grades, and even more questionable (who wants a graduate that won't think for themselves in this day and age?)and unmarketable degree upon graduation.

I would advise all prospective students not to come here. Some people do fit in and are comfortable, but most of them are homeschoolers or religious fundamentalists. There is no way to become inolved in campus outreach or politics because EVERYONE is a conservative Christian. There is no point in joining a group like college republicans because they are not very active because they don't have to be. Also, the restrictions and obscure policies emphasize the conservative indoctrination that the college produces.

Go to this school if you are a sheltered, conservative, Bible-thumping homeschooler looking for a way to "fit in" somewhere.

This school is not for partiers, athletes, and normal people.

If you have ANY liberal or libertarian leanings whatsoever, this school is not for you. The professors, administration, and students will constantly try to propagandize you into their close-minded neo-conservative way of thinking. I went to this school because it claimed it provided an unbiased and libertarian education. WRONG. It is a machine that pumps out goody-goody clones that have never deviated from what mommy and daddy have told them.

On top of all that, the "nightlife" and "life in general" is NON-EXISTENT here. This is literally a hick-town full of farm animals. The only store within 30 miles is Wal-Mart, and chances are you'll see half your classmates there.

If you end up going there, DEFINITELY join the Greek System. It is the only normal thing left in this school. I'm transferring to a NORMAL school this year.

PS: Be warned, the girls are UGLY as hell (with the exception of a couple sorority girls). If you like pimple-faced, ghost-white, deformed females who are looking to get married at age 18, then this is the place for you.

Potential students, you'd be good going to some other school. This school does not prepare you for the real world. Be prepared to struggle after you graduate from here. About the only thing this school excels at is spewing intellectual nonsense. You'd be better off going someplace where they taught you stuff that you could use in your career.
