The school that i go to is very challengeing. Because everything involes the brain. which is great because you could be yourself and thats one of the most imporant things. Because if your not comfertable where you are at then it start to get a little ovrerwelming but in all its one of the best and most profound schools you have i love it.

MSU is a very large school and has some incredible resources. I loved it there, but I didn't learn to get involved and take advantage of everything the school has to offer until my senior year. MSU is a great school for those who are self-motivated, independent, and ambitious. It's not too hard to get decent grades here, but you can get a world class education if you push yourself. One of the greatest things about MSU is the community. Many of the students and faculty are abnormally friendly and willing to help whenever they can.

The negative aspects of MSU I think are probably negative aspects of large universities in general: the class sizes are often very large, instruction can get pretty formulaic, and in these large classes you have to work a bit harder to get a sense of intimacy in your education. Despite this, faculty members are usually pretty dedicated to making themselves available.

Your education there really depends on your chosen major. Psychology was great if you were planning on going to grad school (i was not). Otherwise, you are kind of left on your own.In the end, it's all what you do with the scholastic opportunities you are given. In my experience, when you are looking for a job a degree won't sell you. That's up to you. I finally found a great paying job in an unrelated field, but it was mostly the skills and character I built while at MSU, and not the degree, that helped me to get the job.

Michigan State gave me a great foundation educationally and personally. If I could, I would go back to college in a heartbeat. I had the time of my life at MSU!
