Super Brilliant
I went to MSU because of Lyman Briggs School (It was Lyman Briggs College back in 1968 when I started.) It combines liberal arts and science education in a small school environment tucked into the amazing variety of social and educational opportunities of a big school. I was a National Merit Scholar and it was heady indeed to live in a dorm where fully half of my housemates were also National Merit Scholars.Lyman Briggs School allows you to have a coordinate major in addition to your Lyman Briggs field of concentration. I got a coordinate degree in Computer Science which I found very advanced for the times. When I later attended graduate school in Computer Science, I found my undergraduate courses at MSU more than prepared me for the graduate courses.

Bright
College is a tremendous help, however it is imperative to get real world experience in whatever your career choice may be. Internships, part time, or if possible full time experience is invaluable to getting the position and the salary that you are looking for upon graduation.

Quite Bright
MSU is so big there is always something to do and lots of opportunity for students. Prof's in large classes such as physics and calculus are hard to talk to. They refer you to TA's and help rooms.
