With 100% guaranteed by hindsight, I would have done bette

With 100% guaranteed by hindsight, I would have done better getting an insurance license, the required securities "permits" and[?] an M.B.A. from Heriot-Watt, (which requires nothing beyond a G.E.D. for admission), and gone into Financial Services. OTOH, under the circumstances, it was either SAU or Ferris State and either a teachers' certificate or more business classes. The likes of Bill Gates, Tony Robbins, etc. are a strong, clear indication of the value of traditional, post-secondary education. No college, much success.

Family like atmosphere between students and faculty

Family like atmosphere between students and faculty. Faculty and professors are very approachable and get to know students on a personal level. Class work is more intense than I predicted. Lots of resources, however, to help you get through. All professors make themselves available for 1:1 tutoring. Well rounded education. Lots of paper writing. Fun (but competitive) intramural sports program. Students are friendly and supportive. Everyone seems to know everyone else. School promotes social responsibility and has high ethical standards. Christian values are a central theme. Alcohol, smoking, pre-marital sex are forbidden in the student handbook. Some students struggle with this. I think it helps distinguish SAU from thousands of other schools. The rules (to me) don't seem to impact fun; I'm having a great time here.

Completed 3 years at Spring Arbor

Completed 3 years at Spring Arbor. I love it here. Friendly atmosphere; like one big extended family. Faculty are great mentors and know their students on a personal level. Not only are they interested in your academic success but your personal growth as well. Academics can be challening; lots of paper writing, lots of time in labs. I was a top high school student so I thought college would be easy. Wrong. I underestimated the academic challenge at SAU. Lots of very bright faculty and students here. Many students pursuing graduate education. Lots of hard work; but it has paid off. My MCAT scores were top 20%. The school is conservative. No alcohol, smoking, cohabitation etc. You have to be willing to accept that. We still have fun, however. Lots of activities, intramural sports, beautiful exercise facility. If you want a solid education, life-long friends, and you want to be more than just a number Spring Arbor is a great place to learn.
