The academic departments IBrightOther
The academic departments I was in (math and business were great) and I really enjoyed it and connected with my professors. The student development office and maintenance were not so great. There are trees that were cheaper than an alternative that smell like fish or feminine products... yuck!!!

I continued to work while in school. It helped me learn to manage many tasks at the same time and still meet deadlines.

With 100% guaranteed by hindsight, I would have done betteBrightOther
With 100% guaranteed by hindsight, I would have done better getting an insurance license, the required securities "permits" and[?] an M.B.A. from Heriot-Watt, (which requires nothing beyond a G.E.D. for admission), and gone into Financial Services. OTOH, under the circumstances, it was either SAU or Ferris State and either a teachers' certificate or more business classes. The likes of Bill Gates, Tony Robbins, etc. are a strong, clear indication of the value of traditional, post-secondary education. No college, much success.
