This school is a great place to find yourself as part of a community. Its the school to attend if you want real and intimate relationships. While not in the middle of the city, its only 10 minutes to downtown Jackson. A conservative school with conservative rules and attitudes. No drinking or drugs makes for a VERY safe environment to learn. Teachers are available 24/7. SAU is committed to strengthening its students faith in God and making sure every student feels valuable.

SAU can be a great place to learn and to grow both academically and spiritually. Unfortunately, the students are very cliquey so if you feel the need to conform and fit in perfectly than you might have a little trouble. The rules really are not that bad considering that when you sign up you sign a contract agreeing to abide by their rules. The cool thing is you don't have to be Christian to go here but you do have to respect the people who are. The faculty are the best and I have only encountered a few who do not agree with me. Overall, it is a personal choice. If I had to choose again this wouldnt be my choice but that is because of the students. The education is worth it, but the hypocritical ways of a lot of the students give SAU a bad rep.

I attended SAU for completion of my BSN degree (bachelors in nursing). I was already an RN for many years and finally took the plunge and went back to school. I cannot say enough good things about the program. The faculty were behind the students 100%. I grew as a nurse and a person through this program. Going to Spring Arbor University was one of the best decisions I ever made.
