First the good - the campus is niceBright
First the good - the campus is nice and they take care of it. Professors seem pretty good so far. There are enough majors to pick from. Now the bad - the dorm life is difficult. Not recommended. Isolated here on weekends if you stay on campus. Food lacks variety and quality - the same gruel day in/day out. Not finding student activity or clubs that interest me - pretty limited selection. Not a lot of school spirit. Parents complained to me the price is more than they thought. My advice is come for academics but not for social life. I wouldn't pick it again if I had it to do over. That's been my experience. Good luck.

The thing about SVSU is that it provides good academics. I find that being here they help you to succeed and everything. The MAIN issue is that SVSU doesn't have a college life. Unless you know someone and is okay with basically living in a small area with little to nothing to do, then SVSU is for you. For me, I want a campus that has a shit load of things to do, and is diverse. Everything is geared towards the white students, who basically run everything. SVSU will lure you in with OMG THIS IS THE BEST COLLEGE EVER type nature but in really SVSU ain't poppin off on shit!

Question
I moved to MI out of state andQuite BrightNursing
I moved to MI out of state and needed to finish my Nursing Degree. This is the worst college I have ever attended. Between rude staff and abusive instructors I left in the middle of my second semester. I was told by other students to not even try to talk to my instructors as it will do no good and any student who speaks out in class gets punished in one form or another. I went to different faculty for help regarding one instructor and it was quite obvious that they are all in on it together. My class was made a living hell after that with the instructor either ignoring my questions or making rude comments to me in the class. I am now at a wonderful college and feel very relieved to have left that nightmare of a college.
