I transferred to WMU from a community college and have not learned anything since the transfer. I have so far taken 10 classes and can only consider 3 of the 10 as being of any educational value. Professors and advisors are completely clueless. As far as I can tell there are no standards in place for what teachers actually teach. Also, WMU will try to cheat you out of money every time you turn around. I have found that a large percentage of students are low achievers who's parents pay for everything so they have no concept of money. Commuting to WMU is also a huge pain. I could go on and on but to sum it all up, I will be graduating in one year and know that WMU will not have me prepared to work in my field and I really wish a could start over and do it agian. Having worked with many high company executives, I know that Western is a joke among the top employers. Hopeful young kids straight out of Western come and expect to be hired. Then they learn that a degree from Western doesn't mean squat. If you're a slacker, druggie, and all around unintelligent student, then Western is for you.
