Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I'm in the computer animation department, and itQuite BrightArt & Design Department
I'm in the computer animation department, and it started off ok, but then i slowly realized that this school is crap! There is very little art training, and pathetic teachers. Sometimes they don't even show up! I think the school was good back when 3d was just coming around in the 90's but couldn't keep up with the better art universities on the east and west coasts. If you want a quick, sloppy, and vague introduction to animation then this is your school. Students waste thier time and money here. Most of my peers at lazy and don't care. They give little effort and I find myself sinking to thier level at times which is frusterating because I know there's something better! If your serious about animation and you live in the midwest, leave the midwest!!! There is nothing here for animators who consider themselves artists, not designers/programmers. I made a big mistake because I took advice from a student who went here a few years before me. It went down hill since! I recommend Ringling School of Art and Design!!! It's spendy but worth every dollar!

I am very happy with the quality ofBrightNursing
I am very happy with the quality of the faculty here. For a community college it far exceeds what I expected when I began. The administration on the other hand has been a huge disappointment. I have experienced bad attitudes from clueless people over and over here. I also feel that I can't trust my advisors because they are not knowledgeable about the programs and I have ended up wasting time and money on courses that were unneccessary because of the mistakes they've made.

If you are a student who is notBrightMath
If you are a student who is not going to live on campus or in Mankato I'd look for a better school. I went here because it was one of the closer colleges and I have a 3 year old so quitting my job and moving wasn't an option. All the teachers do is make beer jokes for the alcoholics on campus. They assume everybody lives there and if the roads are too slippery to drive there or the weather is bad they just give you an F on attendance and the assignment. All of my professors required it be turned in by hand, NO exceptions. My community college professors were more technologically advanced and accepted assignments through e-mail, d2l, ect. This school just wants the money and isn't helpful at all. I'm hoping to transfer next semester.
