Brown College (formerly Brown Institute) is a trap. In the classes for Game Design and Development, all the difficult classes where you actually learn something are placed very early, so you believe that you are getting a good education. All the crap they spew about "accelerated programs" and "advanced learning" is total garbage. The teacher's don't care, and all the good ones who did got fired for not having a MA. On top of that, the school went from 11 week quarter with decently long breaks, down to 10 and now 5, yes 5 week quarters with virtually no breaks in between!

Brown is a diploma mill. An $80,000 school that will get you a job NO WHERE because they teach the wrong principals. Jack of all trades and master of none gets you no where. Most people who graduated ahead of me are working at Best Buy or Target struggling to pay back their insane amount of loans.AVOID BROWN AT ALL COSTS!

I will be graduating this week and I'm slightly dissapointed in the program. I've had two classes where the instructors where fired after the quarter because they weren't teaching what they were supposed to and had complaints against them. One of which took a very long time to get rid of, and another who was only there for about a quarter before he was gone. To me this says that they are trying to improve the teaching quality. As far as the failing issue, I've had many classmates fail their class, due to attendance or just general grades. The school does treat you like your in the real world when it comes to attendance and homework. This is fine because in the real world your job will depend on how you meet your expectations.

I paid a lot of money for a very truncated education. The faculty was actually usually pretty good, but it still reeked of a diploma mill.
