Bemidji is an absolutely wonderful place to goBrightGeography and Geosciences
Bemidji is an absolutely wonderful place to go to school. The FYRE program is great for first year students and the school really cares about getting people to fit in. It's obviously a school for the outdoors type but coming from the cities it's still a great experience if you aren't into fishing/hunting.

The town is small and surrounded by sketchy reservations. The campus itself is quite safe but every now and then natives will break into your car. My first year was great, although it's like living in a bubble. People tend to be unaware of the problems happening in the real world. Although Bemidji being so small and cold can be discouraging and I'm transferring to a larger more diverse college. My first year was unforgettable though to say the least.

Bemidji is a great town.BrightNursing
Bemidji is a great town...small if you are from a metro area but has a good community and lots of opportunity to get involved in the community quickly. Must find activites to be invilved in during the winter or you will have a tendency to grow bitter towards it.

Question
I have been a student here since 2008Quite Bright
I have been a student here since 2008 and have loved every minute of it. I made freinds very easily my freshman year and have been very good friends with them ever since. A lot of students live off campus after freshman year and theat is where a lot of partying goes down witht eh under 21 aged students. The rec center is a busy place and intramural sports are a big hit. Hockey dominates the winter and almost all of the students go to the hockey games and the new event center. It is a very close knitted college I would reccomened going to.
