If you choose this school, know this. It is hard as hell. YOU are expected to do the work and be in class. Other art schools have a pretty relaxed/slacker type feel. Not this one! I got me butt kicked (in design)every day! My god! It is a pretty cool place though. It is located in an old stone mansion on Summit Avenue in Saint Paul MN. Highly recommended.

COVA was a very small school when I attended from 1993-1996. This allowed for the students to really get to know eachother as well as closer relationships with the professors. It was a very nurturing environment that had an aura of something sort of "new" and "exciting" . Overall, I learned a lot in an atmosphere that was refreshingly free of the "snootiness" that can exist in some art schools.
