Adult on-line education is worth the effort that one puts into it, and nothing more. No one is going to give you an A for showing up on the discussion boards. The school is regionally accredited, and is founded on sound material by recognized academic authors in the field. I have found the instructors to be a knowledgeable group with a wide range of personal and professional experience to contribute. Obviously if one attends Walden, one is not going to obtain the branding that goes along with names such as Yale or Harvard to place on their resumes. Walden offers a guided form of education that is responsive to its clients needs, and the accreditation to state they they have succeeded in obtaining their education or not.
Faculty Accessibility: A+, Campus Aesthetics: C+

At Walden School of Nursing for 1 year so far. Very friendly and helpful each time contacted. Very challenging and I have actually gained knowledge. Has honestly been as challenging if not more challenging than previous brick and mortar institutions. Walden is by no means easy. If you graduate, you will have earned it. Would recommend Walden to anyone willing to do the work.

Quite Bright
Online University is not for everyone. You must have work ethic and discipline. I have a toddler and work full time, so brick and mortar schools are very difficult for me to attend. Walden allows me to complete the degree when I have time. It is also quite challenging. You have to EARN your degree, and that means harsh criticism. I respect the university for thatOn the negative note, academic advisors are next to useless. I had a few questions when I first enrolled and they would take several weeks to respond. Other than that, it has been a good experience. I have seen some comments on this school being expensive. I spent my first few years at an instate school, OSU, and it was the same cost. I feel that the pricing is adequate.
