Positive Negative Neutral Advice
The administration, especially those incharge make you, asAverageBusiness - Management and Administration
The administration, especially those incharge make you, as a student, feel like you're nothing more then a way to make more money. Once you pay your tuition they couldn't care less about you. Any problems you have usually occur because of their incompetence and poor organization. The 26,000 dollars we pay to go here seems to evaporate into thin air; our facilities are sub par even for high school. It really is disappointing because there are some very good things about the school and a few of the faculty, however, my overall experience with this school has been negative. I would not recommend this school what so ever.

I had attended a Meto Community College beforeQuite BrightSocial Work
I had attended a Meto Community College before transferring to Avila. The professors were of higher quality than at the other college. There was more things to be a part of at Avila: Student Council..President's Table..Could do theater even if you werent a theater major. Could walk underground from building on the N. side of the campus as well as the S. side in case of bad weather. Some professors would offer free help, especially the Sister of St. Joseph. Only thing bad when I attended Avila was the Library was in bad condition....books, computers etc. This was in the beginning of the internet, however. Not all students were Catholic. Alot of the students were from different countries. One had an opportunity for employment on the campus.

The school is so overated, you pay soQuite BrightComputer Science
The school is so overated, you pay so much for so little. Once you tour the school you think,"This would be a nice place to go." In realatiy it is very poor school. The dorms are never cleaned, the bothrooms are completly terrible just living on campus is the absolute worst. Avila thinks they try and give attention to every student but infact the only care about the ones living off campus. They are increasing the tuition 2000 dollars next year jsut becasue we get books for free. Paying 2000 more a year jsut for books is absurd. I got my books for the next 2 semsters for under 250 dollars. There is an increasing number of students that are transfering from this schools because of how poor and bad it is. I repeat you do not want to live in the dorms at this school if you want a social life. The dorms are completly disgusting with mold all over the showers and the cleaning crew just sits on their butts all day not doing anything. You try and tell campus life faculty about the situation and all they do is say they'll work on it, but the never do. This is possible one of the worst colleges in Kansas City I would strongly recommend not going!!
