My two years at Cottey College were two of the best years of my life! I wanted to go out of state but to a small school where I would still have the support system that I had at home. Suite life gave me an instant family and the small classes gave me the the classroom experience and relationships with my professors that I had been craving.

Cottey prepared me for 'the real world' in ways that no other college could have. Being involved in campus organizations and being a Resident Assistant my second year taught me life skills that I still use today.

The friends I made at Cottey are lifelong and it's the experiences both in and out of the classroom that are what made my experience there so great.

Attending Cottey College is the greatest choice you can make. By choosing Cottey you are choosing something different than most young women you age, but you will have a fabulous start to your college years.

I finished a 4-year psychology degree and master's of arts in teaching at my transfer institution. All of my Cottey credits transferred and I felt well-prepared to move on. I came from a large town that was highly diverse, but unlike one of the negative reviews, I treated the insular environment of Cottey as a learning experience rather than a negative. I felt cared about by my suitemates, which was important as an only child moving 1400 miles away from home. The suite life was probably my favorite aspect of Cottey because it felt like a family. I am still in contact with other alum and some of my best friendships were made at Cottey. I am a Cottey girl before any other college affiliation and highly recommend it!

I love Cottey, and I still miss it. As an 18-year-old living far from home for the first time ever it was extremely comforting to be greeted by name the second I walked in the door. At Cottey the students live in suites--several bedrooms around a common living room area, a bathroom and a kitchen. My suitemates were instant family and kept me from becoming homesick. I went back about a year ago for a reunion and I was sad when I had to leave again. There are so many great things about Cottey that I can't even think of them all, so I'll just list what comes to mind.
*great food
*strong sense of school community
*caring, highly educated faculty
*small class size
*second year trip to Europe (paid for by the school--my year we went to Paris)
*gorgeous campus
*large endowment (students' needs and well-being never suffer because of lack of funding)
*tons of opportunities to get involved
But don't take my word for it; go check it out for yourself and see if you fall in love with it like I did.
