Central is a pretty decent school, considering it's a small-town bible college. The departments, with the possible exception of missions, have respectable teachers that give good advice.

Older preaching majors will likely find themselves pushed to the side with the overwhelming amount of future "youth pastors" coming out of high school. Missions majors can expect to be pressured towards Asian fields. Counseling majors will have excellent mentors it their department leads.

Many negative reviews likely come from those not expecting the doctrinal bent of the school. Make no mistake, this is a restoration movement school. If you can't stand restoration movement doctrine, don't bother coming here. Environment (more students than professors) is particularly hostile towards Calvinists and charismatics.

The price of Central is excellent compared to other similar schools, though student service and facility use fees seem inflated when compared with their descriptions. In short--it is easy to graduate from Central debt free with either Pell grants or a part time job. Accreditation is good--accepted by most Seminaries in the US.

Attitude is half of the battle. Don't approach life, or your education as if someone owes you something. You have to earn what you get in life, and in school. If you want to succeed, you have to work.

Horrible school. If your from a small mid-western town, and are coming right out of high school, you may actually be duped into thinking that the professors are half way scholarly. Unfortunately that describes about half of the restorationists students at the school. They mask their real theological beliefs on their website. Instead of saying we are restorationists, we believe if you aren't baptized in our church with the belief that the baptism is required for salvation at the time you were baptized, then you are going to hell. This is what they believe! The professors could use elementry lessons in logic and hermenutics. It's not just pentacostals who get persecuted here, it's anyone outside of their particular branch of the restoration movement. Even if you are a DOC restorationist instead of COC or CC restorationist you will be condemmed to hell. It's not really tuition free as they claim, while it is cheap, they have just moved the costs other places. In a town where you can get a 2 bedroom apt with a full kitchen for $300 month, you can live well for 2,000 a semester. They throw 3 people into small dorm rooms built for 2, serve the lowest quality food I've ever seen in my life, and have the gall to charge over 2,500 a semester for it, and won't let you live off campus unless you are 25 or married. Their are virtually no student facilities. When I first came to CCCB my jaw literally dropped because I have never seen so many unhealthy obese people in my life. I understand it's hard for some people, but the percent of obese people at CCCB must be at least 75%. I could say so much more, but let me sum it up by saying don't go to this school.
