Restoration Movement Theology is taught, and this is made clear on the school's doctrinal statement (available on their website). However, as a non-Restoration Movement Christian, I have been welcomed and challenged. The faculty is equipped, intelligent, scholarly, personable, and extremely helpful. Certainly, some students are less agreeable and more argumentative than would be desired; but no college can claim to NOT have such students. In a student body of 300-350, patience is important, period. Student life is limited in a small town; however, campus life is good. Friendship groups are overall centered around similar goals in a deep way. The Admissions Dept., which was developed around spring 2010, is changing the face of the student body in a positive way by ensuring that as many new students as possible are mature and genuinely seeking knowledge and growth. The school's goal is to train servant-leaders for the church, and its success is clearly evidenced by the plans and goals of the graduating seniors. In the past two years, missions is spreading beyond Asian missions to emphasize European and Mexican missions as well. For Outreach Week 2012, teams are being sent to India, Romania, Poland, and Mexico as well as to the US. Completion rates and graduation grades are rising gradually but consistently. Because of my time at Central (only two years thus far), I have networked in several states as well as other countries, have made solid friendships with amazing people, and have been trained and mentored in ministry. Central is imperfect, but the positives far outweigh the negatives.

Being a so called Christian school they are allowed to treat students any way they want with no recourse. They can hide behind the Christian school label and be very judgmental and bias and you can do nothing about it. You will loose your faith going to this school. I would say they are borderline racist as well. Quit the school and have moved on but would warn anybody considering this school to stay away....it is bad news

This college is a raging battlefield. They will seek to destroy your faith. They will teach you that God does not perform miracles and does not speak today, that the Old Testament is just an irrelevant book of stories, that you are going to Hell unless you get baptized with their style of baptism. If you disagree in any slight way with their doctrine, then you will be attacked and hunted day in and day out, in the classroom and at the cafeteria table and in the hallways and in the dorms. It's not a college, it's a trap set to snare the unwary. Do not be deceived.
