US
News & World Report has ranked Drury #1 on its
Midwest “Great Schools at Great Prices” list since 2000. In
2002 we were ranked #11 on their Midwest universities list.
At the core of the Drury experience are a welcoming
community and academic excellence. If you come here you’ll be
challenged to think about everything, including yourself, in a new
way.
Through Drury’s Global Perspectives 21 core curriculum, you’ll
learn how to take raw information and make sense out of it, at the same time learning about American and
world cultures, the arts and the sciences.
Finishing GP21 earns
you a minor in global studies, in addition to the major
you choose.

There’s no single reason our
graduates are so successful. That’s not how we work. Instead,
our faculty get to know each student, eager to find
the best ways to help each one. Maybe it’s some
extra time one-on-one time with a design professor at the Hammons School of Architecture. Or a casual conversation that becomes
a learning experience. Some 75% of our students complete an
internship, taking classroom lessons, making them come to life
and opening the door to a job in the process.
Others work closely with public school students in a nationally-honored partnership with Yale University.
Ask each of our 1,450
undergraduates why they like being at Drury, and you’ll get
different answers from each.
But we all have a
few things in common. We treasure intelligence and individuality. We
feel it’s important that our work here and in the
future have a measurable benefit to the community. We value
honest, open discussion.
Speaking of value, Drury is a shining
example of a wise investment. US News & World Report
ranks us as one of the best universities in the
Midwest. With tuition and expenses roughly half the national average,
we’ve also topped their list of “Great Schools at Great
Prices” for three years in a row. With $6.3 million
in scholarships awarded yearly, Drury’s value is even more obvious.
Living in Springfield, Mo. is a pleasure, with a
city large enough for vibrant culture but small enough to
be comfortable. Drury University is an extraordinary place. Learn more
