Super Brilliant
Well, I wish i would have known about this web page before. Let me start with the positives. Lindenwood does have a fairly good community type atmosphere where it is easy to make friends. Ok, end of the positives. My Lindenwood expierience was altogether a waste of time. The school is run rather inefficiently. Most of the time when you must deal with the buisness office or the registrar there will be some complication or delay in the process. It will never run smoothly. In addition most of the people in these above mentioned offices are rude and unhelpful. There is also a total lack of communication on the campus. Many times i would never hear about announcements because they do not make them formally. They do not send you a letter in the mail, or give you a phone call, or even post signs on campus. They rely entirly on word of mouth and if you don't hear the announcement it is your fault. Also little respect is given to above average students. I had a 4.0 every year at Lindenwood yet I was still stuck in crappy dorms where people played their music obnoxiously loud till all hours of the night. I considered most other students on campus to be completly oblivous of the real world, unrelyable, unitelligent, affraid of hard work, and inconsiderate. Now I have graduated and i can put all of this behind me. Like I said i graduated with a 4.0 and recieved a degree in both biology and education. After years of hearing about how great the job market is for science teachers I have no luck what so ever. In reality there are very few job openings and those are taken but teachers already in the working world transfering schools. Of all the job fairs I've been to school districs have more than enough choices of canidates, hundreds per opening. The teachers shortage is a load of bull. Since the school year has started and i am in need of money to start paying off those student loans I have expanded my job search to basically anything i can get. It turns out that there isn't much out there at this current time. The few jobs that i can get are low paying and do not even require a college degree in the first place. This is not how i intended my working life to start out. Before attending Lindenwood do your research and review your alternatives carefully. I suggest any place other than L.U. Your trouble is not worth the headache. Once last caution, don't believe in their fake scholarships they give out large sums to nearly everyone for whatever reason they can make up.
