After researching this school, I thought it wouldQuite BrightBiology
After researching this school, I thought it would be the perfect fit. It's a small school and they really advertised their education quality and use of technology. However, after spending one year at Maryville, I am transferring. The "professors" are absolutely horrible. I had better teachers at a community college. These teachers just read word for word off of the book publisher's power points. Or they simply do not teach at all...the chemistry department believes in teaching yourself which is not efficient and also a complete waste of money. Out of 8 teachers that I had this year, only 1 of them knew how to teach and give tests. This school boasts quality education but I unfortunately did not experience this in the biology/chemistry departments. There is no "night life" around here and many of the students at this school seemed snooty to me. There seemed to be a staring problem whenever anyone walked into the dining hall...it felt like high school all over again. If you want the real college experience with social activities, night life, and great education, I suggest you go elsewhere.

Question
Ive never been sooo put down and discouragedNursing
Ive never been sooo put down and discouraged by a program, i transfered in and its like they dont care. ask for help you will get none, the staff is more concerned on how many nurses they can put out of the program then actually teaching. the students run from failing and scared for their life to passing with A's and could care less about helping anyone but them. I heard great things about Maryville thats why i went here but after a year found it to be the total opposite. They have lost focus on what made them great and now its just horrible place. Im transferring out to another school and thank god i didnt go too deep into the program and waste my money

Question
The weekend evening program is disorganized. Not so bright
The weekend evening program is disorganized. The finicial aid office is uncooperative. If I knew what this school was like, I would not have gone here. When I had issues with statistics the counselor told me to contact the department chair who promised to call me back but he never did. The peer tutor office has hired students who are no help.
