The time I have been at sbu I feel like has been a complete waste of time. I have not met a single person that isn?t a complete hypocrite. The things that sbu doesn?t know is ridiculous. They can?t seem to see what is happening in front of their faces, meaning the party?s that they seem to just let happen. The chapel is a joke. Which is borderline cult brainwashing. Most of the professors perpetuate their Baptist views; it oozes out of them in lecture. In your Bible classes, you will most likely endure the preaching of conservative fundamentals. Do not expect extreme academic rigor if you are not a Biblical Studies major. Expect to find the student body likeminded and hostile to any opinion that conflicts with their conservative view of Christianity and politics. The only thing I wish they had done was given me more advice and help with resumes, interviewing, and locating jobs as a senior.
