This school is only for a certain type of people. It is a Christian school, which is a good thing. But there are so many rules that it limits students freedom to enjoy the college experience. The town is safe, but the most boring place i have ever been. DONT come here to play a sport. The athletes are not well-recieved by non-athletes at this school. While there are some good Christian people here, there are also legalistic hypocrites as well. Many people are more concerned with the judging others' actions rather than reaching out with grace and love in a humble manner.

SBU is a school you should attend if you want to be treated like you are a 5 year old. The academics are ok, but the school its self has very tough rules about everything-curfews, chapel, harsh restrictions in the dorms. The buildings are old and ugly and for the amount you pay I expected more. There is nothing to do that the school sponsers, and the surround town is even worse.

Sbu is the most hypocritical school that I have had the displeasure of attending. The time I have been at sbu I feel like has been a complete waste of time. I have not met a single person that isn?t a complete hypocrite. The things that sbu doesn?t know is ridiculous. They can?t seem to see what is happening in front of their faces, meaning the party?s that they seem to just let happen. The chapel is a joke. Which is borderline cult brainwashing. I will never step foot on sbu campus.
