I'm almost done with my second year at Truman, and I would never choose to go somewhere else. I love the teachers, the students, the campus... and the surrounding town really isn't that bad once you get used to it. The historic downtown is quaint, and there are plenty of restaurants around town. If you make the effort to get involved, you will never have a dull moment. I strongly encourage getting involved in Greek life, as well as service organizations.

Beautiful campus with A LOT of great people, there is something always going on campus. Kirksville has a lot to do if your not closeminded with bars, restaraunts, parks, shops, lake, etc. Truman has the feel of a large university with some of the nice universities attributes. GO DAWGS!
Education Quality: A+, Useful Schoolwork: A

I love Truman. I wouldn't have done anything differently. My experiences were awsome. The small town didn't bother me. What made Truman great was the professors and the other students. They are great people. You'll have the opportunity to get involved in lots of different things, the more you get involved in the more you'll love the experience and the less you'll hate kirksville. For example I was an athlete and involved in two other clubs plus a professional fraternity. If you go to TRUMAN just get involved and you'll have a great time. The Health and Exercise Science Department is second to none. I get comments all the time when I meet new people in my profession that they have heard of the reputation of Truman.
Preparedness: A+, Reputation: B+
