 | Bright | Engineering in this community college is difficult, you have to deal with calculus 1, 2, 3, physics calculus 1, 2, intro to engineering, economics etc. For Calc: Avoid Kolman, Tramer, Tucker: These instructor give you a ton of work and make tests extremely difficult. For Physics: Take Jerry Angelichio, he is an easy grader but gives hard quizzes, do good on his masteringphysics, easy A. Nick Bonevac's physics lab is very hard, almost 18 hours of experimenting a week. I hear its much easier to do in UNCC than here. If your trying to transfer to NCSU, stay here because at this intensity, you would be able to breeze through your other subjects. Don't expect to make any friends here. Skip their developmental classes, they serve no purpose. Learn to hate this place and get out quickly, its not worth being here because its not safe, people are not friendly, there are gangsters everywhere, its ridiculous. If your planning to get your Associates in Science, its not worth it (For UNCC, yes because you can be exempted from all General Education program requirements, but for NCSU no you won't be). I did notice for computer engineering, you do end up taking a lot of unnecessary classes like Diff EQ for example. You dont' need this class for comp. engineering, I don't know why UNCC requires this. | Useful Schoolwork: A+, Social Life: F | | | |

| | Quite Bright | | The faculty, academics and resources at this school are phenomenal. Where CPCC lacks is in the areas of security for evening classes and customer service. When students leave class in the evening to walk out to their car, there is usually no security present. There should be security present at all campuses, on all decks and parking lots and at all times - period. Second, their customer service department is awful. They are unhelpful, unfriendly - quick to transfer you to a line that will disconnect after you've held the line for 20 minutes. One customer service rep has even sighed with aggravation when I called to ask which deck would be closest to a particular building on campus. Their customer service department calls need to be recorded and monitored for quality because there quality sucks. In person, some of the staff are unfriendly and unhelpful as well. One CPCC cashier ignored me as I stood waiting to be addressed for minutes and when another cashier, who was friendly, walked up to help me, the rude one eavesdropped and then interrupted her and told her that she couldn?t give me an I.D for free, but needed to charge me since I went to the school a couple years before. - Ugh! | Education Quality: A+, Individual Value: C | | | |
