I went through the AS.Quite BrightElectrical Engineering
I went through the AS. EET Program after leaving my first career and I was very impressed. The instructions are all very knowledgeable in their field and have lots of real world experience to back it up. After a course I had actually learned something real.

Students were encouraged to work together and the professors were very hands on about making sure you understood the material, not just that you were going to pass the test. You weren't just shuffled on through, most people passed each course, but it was because of the dedication of the instructors. I can't speak for many of the other departments (my general education requirements were fulfilled from my previous degree) but the classes I took were top notch in every way.

I really have enjoyed my instructors.Quite BrightEducation
I really have enjoyed my instructors. I only wish that I would have joined the Phi Theta Kappa sooner instead of waiting to my last year. I have met some great people. The central campus has made some changes in the landscaping and in the buildings and I love being downtown. I would recommend this community college to anyone who wants to get an associates degree before transferring to a University.

CPCC is a great school especially for peopleQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
CPCC is a great school especially for people who want to complete their degree through distance education. The area campuses vary in terms of the amount of resouces available and the overall condition of the campus. You definitly should expect to make a few trips to Central Campus regardless of which campus you take classes at. The Central Campus area is not a safe place to be at night, so I would strongly recommend to not take clases in the evening there. It's important to note that Elizabeth Ave. is closed for construction and this causes major problems getting into the campus. Parking is also a struggle at Central Campus. In terms of academics, the school really can't be beat. It provides three separate degree programs that transfer to all the schools in the UNC system as well as private colleges in the state. The cost per credit hour is entirely reasonable. The biggest issue I have with the school is not with the professors or customer service, but with the employees in the admissions/registration and academic advising departments. Some of them are very helpful, but some are miserable and generally unkind.
