I'm an older student, serious, positive and open minded. I am also from another country. Some faculty are helpful, caring and interesting. The new center for global learners does not offer anything of value unless you are hispanic. Apart from the international student club which is diverse, this center does not do anything of interest. The college classes are scattered over many buildings, the newer classroom areas are in good condition but the older ones have broken tables/chairs and garbage cans overloaded. There is no food available in the afternoon except for vending machines, and nothing in walking distance.

Several faculty members are lazy and arrogant. A few offer worthwhile classes. Much of the work is too easy.

This is the third college I have attended due to having to move. I was completely disappointed in the professors I had, one in which took two-two week long vacations during the spring semester, and one just practically read through the book, and did not fully understand the materials he/she was teaching. My advisor wasn't assigned to me until the last six weeks of the semester. And when I made an appointment for advising, this so-called advisor called on the day of to cancel the appointment. When I contacted him within the next two hours, he was not in his office. When I finally reached him later that evening, he only complained about being overworked and that he could not advise me. Also, to top it all off, in my second week of the semester I witnessed a lady (not sure if she was a student or visitor) urinating in the student parking lot next to her car. It is my belief that someone needs to just bulldoze this school to the ground and hire a new staff and start all over again.
