The school claims that they foster a sense of community and support, all the while having an unreasonably strict drug policy. I am not advocating for Guilford to be a "drug" school, I just feel that public safety department (on campus security) works against the students in a way that creates an extremely negative atmosphere on campus. I have experienced a collection of experiences that have ruined my freshman year of college. 3 of my best friends have been kicked out of Guilford because of technicalities with the beaurocratic system that runs the school and forced to move out suddenly without a chance to explain themselves, or discuss a fair and reasonable punishment. Even if you yourself do not do drugs, if you come to Guilfod I would advise that you know that the main goal of the college is not catered to the students.
