In looking at the reviews for the main campus, the main campus seems to be pretty good. The extended campus programs are awful. Most of the people are rude and don't listen to your problems. They think that they know it all and are very arrogant. Wish I would have spent my money somewhere else.

I had initially heard numerous comments that LMC was a relaxed and easy school but I found this to be untrue. The courses were challenging if students did the required work and applied themselves. I also appreciated the small class size and the high degree of individual attention that was provided. Overall, this was an excellent undergrad experience. The people were all very friendly and the faculty were approachable and consistently eager to help. I feel that LMC gave me a nice foundation for graduate school.

I went to Lees McRae College as a transfer student in 08. I didn't even last a semester. The classes were easy, and I found myself very bored! This wasn't because the teachers weren't good, it was because most of the students, while smart, didn't seem that interested in learning. As far as the town goes, well there isn't much to it. Its tiny and there is NOTHING to do. I was there in fall of 08, and while I don't rub my politics in people faces, I do like to volunteer for political campaigns and when students found out I was for Obama some stopped talking to me at all!!! I found them to be very closed minded, and un-excepting of other views. With that said the campus is beautiful, in the mountains in NC, and very well taken care of. If you don't mind a small school in a small town with nothing to do, and you are conservative minded then you will probably fit in, others probably won't.
