Meredith's Department of English is demanding, intense andEnglish
Meredith's Department of English is demanding, intense and extraordinarily rewarding, in terms of both academic excellence and real-world preparation. In my 4 years' experience at Meredith, 90% of my classes were taught by a Ph.D - never once did I have a TA as an instructor or even an MA with less than a decade's teaching experience. The English Department offers the best in rigorous curriculum within the major; Meredith's emphasis on liberal arts provides a well-rounded education for all. The pro-female empowerment of a same-gender campus is a bonus. And guys from all the surrounding schools (NC State, UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke, etc.) LOVE to date Meredith women.

I Love Meredith College.Quite BrightEnglish
I Love Meredith College. It has been the best three years of my life, but Raleigh is not a 'fun' city, as there is not much to do, especially for those 21 and under.

At Meredith, I took "risks" that I never would've taken at a public co-ed university. I was student body president, and I NEVER would've attempted that at NCSU or UNC. Meredith provides a safe environment for young women to take risks and explore options not available (or less accessible) to them in co-ed environments. I loved the sisterhood that I experienced at Meredith. I had never experienced it before, and haven't experienced it since!
