Positive Negative Neutral Advice
Billing and Financial AidQuite BrightPublic Health
Billing and Financial Aid is a complete nightmare. Teachers are disappointing. This is a low grade school that probably should not be accredited in any way.

I attended the MOC New Bern campus. Not so brightCriminal
I attended the MOC New Bern campus. The location was very convenient and the course set up (accelerated, night program) fit into my schedule almost perfectly. There are ALWAYS negatives to ANY academic institution; MOC's were minimal. Overall, I had instructors with "real world" knowledge in addition to the proper academic credentials which provided a wealth of knowledge and made lectures interesting. A couple instructors enjoyed hearing themselves speak, but they were a small minority. My advisor was VERY helpful and supportive in regards to the administration aspect of attending college. I was fortunate to have a great group of people in my cohort (who became my friends! I love them!). While there were a couple negative experiences, I ENJOYED my time a MOC New Bern and would not trade it for anything!I would recommend attending MOC at one of the extended campus locations. If you NEED to have online courses to get a degree, then do it. Otherwise, I HIGHLY recommend doing a seated program. Further, the main campus location offers more majors and is cheaper, but be aware that the town is pretty small.

Financial aid has been a disaster.Quite BrightCriminal
Financial aid has been a disaster. Don't even bother to pose questions. Admissions was extra helpful when I was initially applying but my requests to have a meeting with my academic counselor to find out and plan my academic path have been ignored. I enrolled in April 2011 for the Summer A session. I was told that I had to submit FAFSAs and Verifications for 2009-2011. Why? What has 2009 taxes to do with school in 2011? This place is a JOKE! I requested to be withdrawn from two classes...NOT! I received an F in one and am currently trying to complete classwork for the other because I WAS NOT WITHDRAWN. SOMEBODY HELP ME ESCAPE!!!
