UNC Pembroke is a wonderful, diverse campus toQuite BrightSociology
UNC Pembroke is a wonderful, diverse campus to attend. There are so many endless opportunities available to students. The education is excellent, and high quality. The instructor to student ratio compliments what students are seeking in enforcing that their education is vital, and competitive. However, the opportunities of financial aid that is available to students are very limited. The few scholarships and grants that are available, are rigirous and difficult to obtain- even for a student that has a high GPA. It seems that the favor of athletes are their top priority. Nevertheless, if you are financially secure and set, or are solely relying on the Pell Grant and student loans, then this is definitely the place to go.

Question
This is a great campus.Quite BrightSociology
This is a great campus. The education is top notch and the university has a vibe that is wonderful and positive. However, as a distance education student, I was mostly at home doing my studies. I am a full time student who does not work, so for one to rely on their financial aid money for support should beware. The student refund process at UNC Pembroke is a very strange and complicated thing-meaning that the date that they release to students on when refund checks are going to be available are not accurate. Most students ends up having to wait an extra week to receive funds and then if you call them, they are not knowledgeable about what is going on. So BEWARE STUDENTS-if you are solely a full-time student who lives off of aid money. Other than that issue, everything else is not so bad...

Question
I have been an online student for theBrightOther
I have been an online student for the most part but have visited the campus. I have found that this school has met my expectations and was a great education for the cost. I was tired of people bad mouthing it so I had to write a review. All the instructors want you to do is be a grown up and do your work. You are adults now. I have found them all to be very helpful besides a very small few. The resources are great such as the online writing center and the faculty really seem to care about your education. I may even do my graduate studies here.
