Bright
As a white male in nursing at a historically black college I was a double minority.I had already obtained my RN at a community college and went to WSSU at a off campus site to aquire my BSN. I was a commuter for my MSN/FNP degree.
I was treated with the upmost respect. The Campus was beatiful and well groomed. One thing that WSSU needs to improve on is organization. Always make a copy of anything you turn into anyone.I was a nontraditional student.I have no idea regarding the social scene or dorms, but the classrooms were state of the art. I feel as if I got a quality education at a great price. If had to do it all over again I would.

Quite Bright
I transferred to Winston-Salem State Univsersity for financial reasons. At the time it seemed like a good idea. However, as the years progressed I soon learned that you ultimately do get what you pay for. The professors generally are decent and capable people who care. However, iut is the exact opposite for administration. If you are interested in feeling like a number instead of a person trying to obtain a higher education, I say go for it. WSSU administration is not concerned with the students growth or experience. Financial aid is a joke and the registrars office even funnier. If you attend this school please prepare yourself for long lines waiting for financial aid and the registrars office, they mess up everyones stuff...GOOD LUCK

Super Brilliant
I feel this is a good school allowing prospering abilities for each student according to the direction in which one chooses to apply themselves. On the other hand staff could have and show more empathy. I understand were grown-ups that must have and show responsibilities, but mishaps happen, this is not a perfect world. Cold attitudes and shoulders can cause students to go to another college. There are plenty of colleges to choose from and people should not forget that. As we walk through your door, we can also turn around and walk out with our money!
Collaboration/Competitive: A+, Faculty Accessibility: D

If you are not black, don't bother with this school. They gave me and other non-black people I know a VERY hard time, both with getting in, and with help in general. As long as they have their quota of "other" racial background filled, they don't want you, and even if you are filling the quota, they are very prejudice, especially against white folks.
This is the group of people that complain that they have been "mis-educated" and they are dumbing down their curriculum so that they can get better grades, and 'look smart'.
