Positives: Tuition is pretty decently priced compared to lots of other colleges.
Most students are friendly. I've made lots of friends at DSU.
Negatives: Staff is very hard to work with. If you have a concern about a grade, they argue with you about it instead of trying to come up to a solution to the problem. They ALWAYS think they're right.

They make you take extra classes that are not required for your major. It's all about the money. If they can make a few extra dollars, they will do anything they can to get extra money out of you. So if you go to this college make sure you read the DSU student handbook and be familiar with the requirements for gradation in your major. DSU gives out scholarships, but in very low amounts, for example if applying for a scholarship, you might get $250-$500 if you're lucky.

DSU is a cheap alternative, especially if you plan to save for grad school; however, there's a lot of politics and drama that students have to put up with because the staff is always unhappy. I'll admit it. I'm at DSU because of the price, not because I've heard positive things about it. I give a lot of credit to the Natural Science professors though. As much as they may hate coming to work at DSU each day, they care about their students and want us to be fully prepared for life after graduation.I can't submit this review without mentioning the International Students. Coming from someone who has been to other countries, I know what it feels like to be the minority. At times, I DSU students can be too closeminded about International Students. I think it's a great learning experience, but where I disagree with DSU is the amount of International Students they allow on campus. It can be overwhelming and I've had professors who have slowed down lectures to make sure those who don't speak English well can still keep up.
