| Bright | Minot State University has a number of activities that any college student could do. You just need to be willing to step out of your dorm room. | Education Quality: A+, Surrounding City: C+ | | | |

| Quite Bright | Small city, if your not 21 there is no social life since everyone hangs out at bars. Sports are huge on campus, be a jock or gf of a jock or be square. Its a run around departments don't coordintate. The records department is horrible, don't be surprised by them not accepting credits or having trouble with registration. Registration in ND is all connected making it beyond difficult. Faculty have low standards that are easy to meet and exceed. Some are very nice and have true concern for students | Collaboration/Competitive: A+, Social Life: F | | | |

| Quite Bright | I wanted a university that performance is everything, but in which the professors don't care, and take a laissez faire approach to education. "Should you take the initiative," my professors should say, "then good luck. If you choose to idle and take a lower grade, then good luck. Either way, good luck and live by your decision." Instead, I see professors offering second chances and passing students that shouldn't pass. | Faculty Accessibility: A, Collaboration/Competitive: D | | | |

I transferred to MSU from bigger school in N.D. and I was amazed by the interaction between the students and Professors. At the other school a majority of the courses took were taught by graduate teaching assistants and wasn't impressed and felt it was a waste of money. At MSU I liked the fact that all of the prof's were full-time faculty and dedicated to their profession. The other thing that I thought was pretty nice was the ease at which I could get involved. I was active in 3 different groups on campus and found it easy to fit in and develop my leadership skills and meet people. I figure the move to Minot State was the best thing I could have done because it opened up a world of opportunities as well as a helping me to build my confidence. | Education Quality: A+, Social Life: B+ | | | |
