Mechanical Engineering building and labs are very oldQuite BrightMechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering building and labs are very old and outdated. Some lab equipment is from the 60's and most is pre 1980. Prof's are ME Phd's but not educated or skilled in teaching. I have been told ND prof's get low pay therefore for most Prof's English is not the first language so communication is not a strength.

Being in ND it's pretty friendly and slowQuite BrightZoology
Being in ND it's pretty friendly and slow paced. For people around here it's a pretty big college and city but if you are coming from a big city it's probably not going to have that feel. It is a smoke free and dry campus. We do get a good number of international students and teachers. There's quite a few organizations for students. The student fee is pretty high especially if you don't even want to use the wellness center which doesn't have a pool but otherwise is pretty nice. ACE tutoring is free but is understaffed and not always very helpful. The parking can be expensive and there needs to be more but you can find some free places on the streets. With a student ID you can also ride the city bus for free. Also be prepared, it does get very cold and windy here.

Question
NDSU is a nice University.Quite Bright
NDSU is a nice University. I like the small town values of the Community and do not equate them with being closed minded more like a positive choice. Being from Mpls and a 31 ACT, 4.0 GPA I had my choice of schools to attend. NDSU was a good Value. I guess if you are a lefty intolerant of opposing views NDSU probably is not a good fit.
