Super Brilliant
DO NOT attend here. Overpriced and very self righteous. Professors are not very intelligent, have delusions of grandeur, and poor grading policies. That, and the student culture revolves around upper-middle class priviledged white kids getting drunk and driving daddy's SUV from bar to bar. Although, there is not much else to do in Omaha, can't blame them.Save yourself the hassle. This place flat out SUCKS.

Quite Bright
Creighton is a great university academically. There are a number of wonderful intelligent professors who genuinely care about their students. I personally find the psychology department fantastic and I have heard from friends in other majors that their departments are great too (e.g. exercise science, political science).

However, I have a major problem with the way the administrators and residence life staff view and treat students. They are patronizing and no matter how old you are they will treat you like a child. Many RA's go out of their way to get students in trouble, especially when it involves alcohol. The CARE program is an absolute scam and that program as well as the way they enforce the rules cause greater problems than they solve. Ask any CU student who does more than just study how they feel about this and they will likely share my sentiment.

I have had tremendous opportunities for research and internships at Creighton. The med school is right on campus and the University of Nebraska Medical Center is within a mile of campus as well. The best part is that I have shadowed at both and done some tremendous research here as an undergrad. The professors have all been kind and helpful in my development as a student.

The extra-curricular activities are plentiful...I am on three intramural teams and even a club sport. Omaha is a great place to hang out and it reminds me of a small town atmosphere, but with more to do. I love Creighton basketball and that gets me through the cold winter. I would choose Creighton again. If your are looking for a University that will make you feel comfortable socially this is the place.
