Many of the professors do not possess the characteristics or qualities of being a proficient teacher. With that being said there are a small quantity of professors that do strive to help the students and teach very well. I would rate Midland a lower than average university compared to others I have attended. I would not recommend Midland for their academics. I was treated like I was the plague and most of my peers have ignored me and made me feel like I don't belong here! The staff does what they can to give you a chance but that's only saying so much. There isn't much to do around here and most of the time you'll be bored out of your mind just from trying to find anything to do. Yes, sure, you gotta make things work for yourself, but when I tried to be friendly, I was faced with contempt and peers have avoided me time and time, again and again. I'd never been this unhappy of going to a school in a very long time, and I won't be returning to Midland. I recommend to those to please RECONSIDER. I stayed because of my friends, but probably should have moved on. Probably 50% of my class ended up leaving. Tuition goes up every year, but the quality goes down.
