The administration does not care about the studentBrightBiology
The administration does not care about the student body. All they want is to suck money out of the students. The curriculum makes it nearly impossible to graduate on time and forces students to take classes that do not relate to their major, help with life skills, or even interest them. Poorly planned science department is screwing over the students who want to continue on to a different school.

While the homework load was heavy and timeQuite BrightLanguage - French/Spanish/etc.
While the homework load was heavy and time consuming, most of it honestly wasn't that hard. Classes that other students complained about came realitively easy to me because I learned plainly and simply what the professor expected. I struggled in a few classes along the way. I still got B's in them without little to no actual understanding of the material. I earned a C in one class. At the time I felt the professor had unrealistic expectations. I hated that professor, until one day I realized, OMG she was teaching an ACTUAL college course and maybe all my classes should have been nice. I had a couple of professors I really liked. Most of them were just plain rude but would occasionally be (fake?) nice. My advisor was non existent. I tried for days to reach her once. No replies to several emails and office door always locked. Turned out she had a new dog to run home to.

The career advisor told me to get a job answering phones for this company or that company. Jobs that only requires a high school diploma and only paid $11/hr. Yeah, that would have been worth the commute/move. Honestly, they did an excellent job with my resume, not that I ultimately needed it.

Debt wise I was doing fine. Then I studied abroad. Awful experience. And unbelievably expensive.
Here's the real kicker, though. My final assessments, the ones I had to take to graduate, weren't even graded. Had they been, I would have failed miserably. The professor wasn't even in the room when I took them.

I graduated with a 3.6, just to be clear.

As an out-of-state student, this school was a total culture shock for me. The majority of students are white and from a farm, I need-not say their political views. Educationally, fantastic school. But, as a varsity athlete for three years at a large school who doesn't play video games or do weird things, I was taken back by the people. If you're from a small town or the Mid-West, I'm sure that's your normal; the culture shock was real for me.
