Some students pass classes without writing papers, while others walk their professors' dogs. Some students sleep overnight, at times, at some professors's houses. Racism is rampant and departmental resistance to disabilities is high. Ethnic minorities are treated with disrespect or mocked to their faces by other students and staff, making for a very hostile atmosphere. Conformity is prized, discrimination exists in who is placed on probation or not spite similar grades and concerns.

Very white male oriented, no responsiveness to diversity. Conformism in valued above all else, despite professed statements that students are encouraged to develop their individual voices. Classes are large and feel like a factory mill. Students who do not study or plagiarise are retained in the program and pass classes just the same. Nepotism is rampant. Financial aid is minimal.
