They say you can do anything you want with a Liberal Arts degree and I consider myself living proof. The High Tech industry doesn't hire non-technical people as often now, but I wasn't without technical skills. I was able to demonstrate enough technical skill (some learned at Dartmouth) and much better than average (especially in the techie world) communication skills.

Dartmouth is one of the best colleges out there...academic-wise. Everyone should do a thesis, independent study, or some type of research work while they're enrolled to truly get their money's worth, though. Additionally, one should take advantage of all of the off-campus programs and leave-term internship opportunities that the D-plan affords...trust me on this one...You don't want to be like the guy who's miserable (check on the negative reviews). There are still some things that I don't like about Dartmouth : its location is in rural NH, nasty winters, and sometimes very awkward students who just don't seem grounded in reality...But, I'll let you be the judge

Super Brilliant
Dartmouth kind of sucks. People tend to like it up until maybe there junior or senior year, when everyone sort of collectively realizes that it's pretty stupid, the social scene is a pathetic nightmare, and everyone around you isn't really as smart or happy as you thought.

I wish I'd gone to Brown, but that probably wouldn't have been as awesome as I think either. Be prepared for extreme immaturity, and people with horrible self esteem. The men are horrible and the women subject themselves to the horrible men willingly. If you go, go abroad. Do not join a fraternity, as much as you want to, and everyone tells you to.
