This is probabaly the worst college on the planet. No matter how much money this school offers you DONT GO! The food is atrocious. The dorms are always trashed and they dont even have common rooms in the freshman dorms? They are used for storage? The student body is a highschool like atmosphere with only 3 cliques: Jocks, drug users, and kids that dont fit in anywhere. Kids get arrested left and right for the stupidest things. College is a time to experiment and drink during the weekends and maybe smoke some pot bur all everybody does at that school is smoke pot all day long and drink almost every night. The surrounding city... HAS NOTHING! The townspeople are arogant rednecks and theirs nothing to do. The CAs (Community assistants) that supervise the hallways wont do anything about the bathrooms being trashed or holes in the wall but if they hear a soda can open they storm your room! When they have suspicion of anything they call the police! I can gurantee that I know of at least 50 friends that had been arrested in the freshman dorms including myself. Campus security isnt there when you get hurt only when they want to ruin peoples friday and saturday nights... The classes are so pointless and the teachers seem high themselves. The janitors clean properly maybe once a week the rest of the time they are out back smoking pot.... This schoool is already 48 million in debt with a horrible retention rate. I wouldnt be surprised if it shut down pretty soon.

I do not recommend this college for others. Just focusing on the actual education and not the many side issues/problems first. The professors are horrible. There is no originality or inspiration. If you are looking to really learn something then avoid this school. The reality is that they are all corporate butt kissers only concerned with their own standing. I learned more in one semester at CUNY than 3 years at FPC. This school is not worth its huge price. The whole school has this "liberal image' however you will soon learn they are all phoneys and hypocrites. These are the most selfish and uncaring people I have ever come across yet they put this "liberal" image on and it is quite disgusting. As for all the side issues such as the Nazi Police and them trying to squeeze every last dollar out of you yes that is true and another huge reason to avoid this place like the plague. I could go on and on however to sum it up I regret having ever attended this hellhole however I have rebounded in my life and have learned a lot of lessons the hard way.

Franklin Pierce is an excellent small liberal-arts college. The faculty in the Humanities Division are extremely talented and forward-thinking. They want to see you succeed and are willing to help you and be behind your path 100%. The school may be growing too quickly lately, as they scramble to transition into the new "Franklin Pierce University" and build newer and "state of the art" facilities. Hopefully they will remember their roots as a very small liberal arts college and still offer the great and unique things that attracted many of its students there. Classes in such areas as stained glass and glassblowing, landscape history reading, contemporary Native American history, women's leadership, and many others that only a small, kind of "funky" college can pull off. The location leaves a bit to be desired in terms of anything being open past 9 PM, but the campus really lends itself to a very active and lively social atmosphere. The way the housing is setup, the location and different types of living options along with the fact that literally everything is within walking distance even when its below zero makes up for the general "middle of nowhere" location.
