Super Brilliant
This school is horrible for commuters. The scheduling of classes is completely inconvenient. Mandatory night and day classes for nursing majors. I am mandated to take a 1 hour class only offered on a certain day. Clinical placements are random and they do not take into consideration where you live or personal preference. They are not helpful with life outside of academics. If you are a commuter or transfer student do not apply! They may give you enough funding the first year to make you interested then decrease funding and raise prices every year after. They decreased my grant by $5000 dollars on a 1 week notice before tuition bill was due because they made a mistake. They don't try to help with financial aid. If you are rich don't have to work while in college and live there you should be fine. Oh and 50$ fine if you are in the same room as a guy after hours, even during dances or if the boy is related to you.

I am very grateful to Rivier College for the education I received. Faculty in my major really cared about my academic progress and classes were challenging and interesting. Rivier provided a very good foundation that I know will be of great benefit throughout my career.

I graduated from Rivier College two years ago. I have been an RN for three years, one year as an oncology/urology nurse and the last two as a critical care/ED nurse. I am very grateful for the education I received at Rivier college and the opportunities/connections it allowed me to make in order to do what I do today. I have read many comments on this blog site and it sounds like the same person or maybe even two people posting and reposting the same opinion. I felt the program was fair and helpful, especially the director. In fact I found the program to be a little too helpful to the students who were not willing to do the work or attend the classes. I have many friends and co-workers who attended nursing programs at much larger colleges/universities and the programs they were in seem much more difficult to stay in and the professor less likely to help then what I experience at Rivier College. I feel Rivier prepared me well to work in the "nursing world." In fact some patients even ask me " Where did you go to school?" I proudly say Rivier College and they respond "That is a good school. They did well with you." All in all, you get what you put in.
