Just completed my first semester at UNH and I love it. People who say it's boring, there's nothing to do, they have no friends, all people do is party, clearly haven't tried to do anything else at UNH. My experience has been nothing but positive, and even though a few things have been negative, it's to be expected anywhere. Usual college stuff, but UNH is a great school, learning environment, the food is great, i feel safe, and there's loads to do other than party. you just have to make friends and get involved

It is a relatively good school. Engineering and Business are the two of the top programs in the country, especially business. Sports are very good especially hockey and football. Food is very good. A huge party school...hard to become good friends with people if you don't party. A lot of things always going on and things to do on and off campus. Beach is close by in Hampton and in Maine...Portsmouth is probably the nicest close city with TONS to see and do. I would say that the only problem I have with the school is the notoriety of the obnoxious greek life, engineering professors and advisors are dicks and there is too many massholes. Like 50% of the students are from New England with most being from NH and then Mass and there is a big difference between Mass people and the rest of New Englanders. To sum it up real quick, Mainers and New Hampshireites are cool and relaxed and humble, Vermonters are typically hippies and farmer people, Connecticut people are usually NY fans and rich and you will be lucky to meet a Rhode Islander. And then the Massholes literally dress like jersey shore people, have to wear the timberland boots with sweatpants and gold chains and wifebeaters. Also they wear sunglasses in class and at night, sometimes driving. The girls are typically "daddy's girls" who drive around in BMWs and are rich and are total loudmouth bitches while the NH and ME girls are down to earth, quiet girls. Now obviously not every single person from Mass is like this or not everyone from Vermont is hippie and a farmer and not every person from ME and NH is cool and laidback but I promise you, I really promise you that it is very easy to tell and you will know what I mean if you go here. Really the only problem with UNH is that they allow Mass people in.

I loved this University from the moment that I toured it. It was the University for me, and I knew that.
