I have a BS and MA degrees in Biology and have worked in Biomedical research for many years. I came to Bergen Community College to gain skills in order to enter a new career path. The degree, in Information Technology, I earned from this college is worthless. Potential employers don't take the school seriously. I have since taken other courses in Paralegal Studies and Electrical Technology and have found poor teaching and an unwillingless of the school to help find or place students in jobs.

I would not recommend this college to potential students

People joke around about this school, saying that it is the 13th grade, or BCC stands for Bergen Comedy College.
At first I personally did not take this college seriously and got bad grades but, once I got serios and started going to class sober the lectures were actually pretty good and I've learned alot. I later found out that most of the Profs. attained PHD degrees from well known schools in the nation. Then as I entered to a 4 year university, all 68 credits transferred to a state university. Just an advise to students enrolled here is that BCC is not just for socializing and smokin pot but, an actual college that grants Associate & certificate degrees to further your education or get that job you wanted.
