Drew University has no value. This school has become decreasingly competitive over the years and it is truly a waste of money. Admissions accepts anyone who can read a coloring book. The quality of the students has dropped and many of them would never make it into a competitive college. The quality of the education is fair, not great. The students are weird and would never be able to hack it a "real" college like Rutgers, NYU, Penn or Lehigh. The preparation that Drew gives for the real world is nonexistent. The school babies their students which is pathetic. The career center was awful when I was a student there and the opportunities to help faculty with research do not exist. The academics are fair, I had a couple of good classes, but most of my courses were not at all memorable, useful or interesting in the least. I was not impressed with this school. The best word to describe Drew is "apathetic." The students go home on the weekends making this place look like a total ghost town. God forbid you want to have an interesting college experience that is rich in learning experiences. Do not expect to find it here at Drew. This school is interested in one thing only: your money. Really, trust me, this place is a waste of your time. Look elsewhere. If you want a liberal arts college experience look at Lafayette, Bard, Trinity, Ursinus, or basically any college with an acceptance rating of under 50 percent. Drew accepts 80 percent of the losers who apply to this place. Don't be one of them. I transfered out of here and I would not recommend it. I got sucked into going here because they sold me a bag of horse crap about how they have a UN semester. What bull. Its a waste of time. Drew is boring, expensive and not at all a great place to learn. I went to Rutgers and was much happier and learned much more.

Super Brilliant
Pros
-Many amazing teachers: there are faculty here that are qualified ot be teaching elsewhere like NYU or even harvard. The political science department is really filled with great minds with impressive credentials that are going to raise a few eyebrows.

-Strong Programs: The programs that are strongest would be Economics, Political Science and Theater. Theater is #1 in the nation right now, which is huge. Political science is also a department with tons of depth.

-Campus is Beautiful: It is a University in the forest. The campus is absolutely beautiful.
-Grad school stepping stone: With good grades and solid scores you can get into big name schools everywhere. It is difficult but doable.

- People: the people here are great generally. Liberal, accepting, and pretentous. A perfect mix. Occasionally you will see the Guido from south jersey.

-Scocial life: The parties are great, the people are friendly, the town is picturesque, what more can you want????

Cons:
-Bureaucratic nightmare: whoever is running this show is retarded. They are unorganized slow and not very smart. They will loose things. Hold the administrations hands because they will get lost without you

-Alcohol policy: The alcohol policy is a mass hypocrisy. The president of the University has personally signed a petition to lower the drinking age to 18, the public safety is incredibly lenient, the RA's will not write you up for being drunk, only for doing stupid things. However they do not practice what they preach. They constantly inundate you with anti alcohol propaganda which can be very annoying. Even when they can force you to attend AA classes.

-Theater program: I personally have a problem with the theater program. They are mostly pretentious disciples of stanaslavski and never shall they depart from his teachings. It is full of adjuncts and are still ranked #1. What is going on here??

-Not Well Known: drew is not a school that rings a lot of bells. You will soon find, however, that within the academic world it is held in high regards. It incredibly underrated because it is a liberal arts school.

-Too much: It is not worth the money. In all honesty it is way too expensive for the school that you get. It is not a big research school. It is a small quirky liberal arts college.

-Ad-junkie: the Adjuncts suck. Every one of them is horrible. If you get one than you are fucked. There is no way to put it. Drew is a great school to have fun in, yet still be challenged acedemicially. Plus you can get into good grad schools. But there is a lot of bullshit here. And it stinks of it. If you are conservative go away, you are not welcome. It is a LIBERAL arts college Emphasis on liberal.

I transferred to Drew first semester sophomore year, and I am very glad I made the change. The Drew community makes you feel part of the school. There are many activities (sports, clubs, organizations) so it is easy to become involved. For a liberal arts college there is also more diversity than I expected. I love that although Madison is not city there are plenty of stores that I can walk, and New York City is a close trip. I have made some great friends here as well that will always be part of my life. I am a political science major and I am applying to law school. The polisci department has definately prepared me for law school. I completed the London Semester which was amazing! Drew is an overall solid school. It deserves much more recognition that it receives.
