This is a challenging small school in close proximity to New York. The proximity affords opportunities that would otherwise be limited to more urban campuses. The athletic programs have improved immeasurably since I attended as has the university's public profile. The President is Tom Kean, former New Jersey governor and head of the 9-11 Commission.

Question
Overall, drew is a quality university, with aQuite BrightPsychology
Overall, drew is a quality university, with a generally helpful and interested faculty. that said, its a rather tiny and at times oppressive place, simply because you can really quickly run out of places to go on campus or off.

As well, the various deptartments are brutal on transfers (like myself). Don't trust the preliminary credit transfer they send you after admission, and if you bring in more than one year worth of credits (i came in with an associates and was therefore a junior) you will be inelidgible for the specialized honors program and a will not be able to easily study abroad or recieve credits for summer courses taken elsewhere. Of course they don't mention these things in the required interview (and i explicitly asked about the honors program and studying abroad and was told that both programs were available to all drew students, even transfers)but, to end on a positive note, the course work is relevent and for a small university, the course offerings are fairly extensive and lab opportunities (for psych majors at least) do exist.

Question
Drew has a terrific science program and excellentBiology
Drew has a terrific science program and excellent teachers. I changed careers simply because that's what was really in my heart. It was not a matter of being unprepared or ill-trained. Their art program at the time was geared to the avant garde and "super-artsy" student; not to commercial design. I am told that this has changed somewhat and the art computer graphic programs being taught there. Someone interested in Drew and the commercial arts would probably need to take advantage of the affiliate programs Drew has with Fairleigh Dickenson.
