This college is way overpriced or overvalued.Average
This college is way overpriced or overvalued. The financial aid package given every semester is a mess it's always incorrect. Good luck trying to call the financial aid office you will be transferred to ten different people who have no idea how to correct the problem. It happened to me every single semester I was there. If I could start again I would not have transferred to this university it was a big mistake. Save your self money and go to an in state school or public university because overall the cost of FDU is not worth it. You can get a great education at a public university for far less.

FDU is a good school if you areQuite BrightUndecided
FDU is a good school if you are only seeking out a quality education when you get to college. That's the biggest highlight, and it will also be a great experience to those who join Greek Life and have good friends to hang out with. Because, quite frankly, there is nothing to do on campus. I go to the football and basketball games once in a while, but the football team loses pretty much every game. There is a pep rally and homecoming game in the beginning of the year, but no dance. People turn up a lot here, some to the point where it is way too much. And the cafeteria food, I'll admit, usually easy to work with. They do have a variety of food in the cafe, but it is the same food almost everyday, every week, every month. Usually what I do is make something at the Wok, or put something together by grabbing foods from different parts of the cafe. Dorm life, is pretty cool, as long as you have a good, respectful, roommate, which I do have, but if you are living with someone you do not like, it is going to suck. The dorms alone, though are easy to work with. I live in Hamilton, and there are actually pretty big, about the size of an average teenage bedroom. Any advice I can offer is that you are looking for a school that offers a quality education, provides a lot of on campus events, has a lot famous visitors coming to visit the school, and is not too costly, then FDU is not for you. I'm paying a lot to be here and I don't even feel like I got my money's worth except for when it came to educational aspects and career guidance. The campus is in Madison as well, so yes there are things to do around the area, but you would definitely need a car. I would not recommend walking because it is pretty far and the campus is a bit secluded. Last, but not least, the parties. Literally, the best campus parties here are the ABC parties that occur twice every semester. But that is it, the frat parties are hard to get to unless you know someone in the frat and have a way to get there. Otherwise, the struggle is too real.

Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison is a greatQuite BrightCommunications
Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison is a great school when it comes to academics. The professors are more than happy to help you with your school work, studies, and understandings of various topics. However, the school is not all it is pepped up to be. Most students here say FDU is boring because there is never anything to do on campus. Yes, they have campus parties once in a while, and have had other events (that no one would really be interested in) in the start of fall semester, but not a lot of people went, therefore it was not very enjoyable. The food in the cafe is unsatisfying 70%-80% percent of the time, unless you cook something, and every other dining area on campus costs extra money outside of your meal plan. If you are looking for a school where you really just want to get your education and join a few clubs, FDU might be the place for you, but it you are looking for a "college experience" meaning a quality education, numerous and entertaining events, of course parties, and a place where there is more to do on campus, then FDU is not for you.
