Okay,so, this is an advice which I hopeBrightEducation
Okay,so, this is an advice which I hope everyone heeds to. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT AND I REPEAT! DO NOT COME TO THIS UNIVERSITY!!! As an education major I cannot begin to express my frustration. Kean University is known for its "Education program" I don't know how, honestly, because this is one of THE WORST PROGRAMS THERE IS and IFFF I had a chance I would transfer without giving it a thought. Let me tell you how it goes... You decide to become a teacher, and go into it without a thought.. Kean will ruin it for you and not only that, the state itself will. You are required to pass these PRAXIS exams (writing, reading and math) BEFORE you can declare as an education major MEANING before you can take your education classes. Let me be honest about 1 thing, these exams are a waste of time and money. If you're not a math person, good luck passing and goodluck buying a book that actually covers what you have to study. All of them are unhelpful and don't even bother buying the ETS practice book from their website, the questions of the Praxis ARE NOTHING LIKE IT.It's a waste of money. Save your money, I know many people who have dropped from this program because they don't allow you to take more education classes, and literally I'M NOT EVEN KIDDING, if you can't pass this exam which 80% DON'T KEAN will advice you to take a semester off. It is ridiculous, I'd advice you to attend a different university and major in something else. It isn't worth the headache, it isn't.

School seems beautiful but the people are not.BrightEducation
School seems beautiful but the people are not. My advisor never told me I had to minor in a subject and that i had to take junior and senior field. So I went to a new advisor who helped a lot. But now that I am about to graduate I just found out that I still need five more credits!! We have been going over everything every single time I saw her and she told me everything was ok but now all of a sudden I need more credits.

Office of admissions is the most unorganized departmentBright
Office of admissions is the most unorganized department of all state colleges. After repeatedly being told I didn't have all my admissions paperwork in, when everything had been sent in twice, I should've run for the hills then. No, instead I went to Kean and now I can't wait until I get out. This is the worst school ever. NJ tax payers should be up in arms that their tax money is being used to support this school.
